To define a trigger select the option "Run Trigger
Utility" off of the functions menu. A sub menu will pop up with all the trigger
functions. Choose the first option off this menu "Edit/Define Triggers". This
will bring up a dialog box with 5 fields.
-
Trigger Key: Select the key to use from
the drop down list.
-
Trigger Data: Enter in up to 32 bytes of
data to use for this trigger. You can enter any ASCII character by pressing
the appropriate key. If you want to enter a hexadecimal value then you can use
the "\x" escape sequence followed by the hexadecimal number you want
to watch for.
-
Tragger Action: Choose the action you want
SI_SCOPE to take when the trigger matures. The first two
options allow you to have SI_SCOPE remain idle until the
trigger matures and then become active again, or stay active until the trigger
matures and then go idle. The third option allows you to execute a macro when
the trigger matures and requires you to be using the optional Active
Cable.
-
Comport to Monitor: Choose the port
you want SI_SCOPE to monitor for the trigger.
